A fragment of a silver miliarensis (light), possibly of Gratian, 367-83; VI[RTVS EXERCIT]VS; emperor standing facing, head left, holding standard in right hand, and resting left on shield; Trier, 367-83; Reece period xx. RIC IX, Trier, c.f. 3b, 42b & 53a.

Notes:

The portrait appears to have slighter features, more typical of Gratian than the older Valentinian I and Valens.

This has been noted as an interesting find by the recorder.
