Discussion: Such rings known as 'fede' rings, from the Italian 'mani in fede' ('hands in faith'), were given as tokens of love, engagement or marriage from Roman times up to the 19th century. Dimensions: Weight: 1.9g; Length: 16.4mm; Bezel Width: 7.8mm;Bezel Thickness: 2.8mm The find cannot be securely dated to pre-1710 and as such falls outside the provisions of the Treasure Act 1996.
