A cast copper-alloy strap fitting or mount of unknown date, probably Roman to Medieval.

The fitting is a sub-rectangular plate with one rounded end. Down the length of its centre is a rectangular perforation. The square-end has a cylindrical shank, cast integral, emerging from the underside of the plate.

Its function is unknown, but the metalwork appears to be Roman or Medieval in date.
