A cast copper alloy which is probably a 'dumbbell' toggle of Iron Age to Roman date. The toggle is comprised of two almost spherical balls joined by a wide collar. Around the circumference of the flat edges of the balls are incised lines of decoration. The metal is a very light reddish-brown colour and is slightly worn.
