Unique ID: SUSS-16F773

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

Post Medieval cast lead alloy circular uni-faced token. On one side are the raised initials I A, it also is bent in the middle. The other side is blank apart from the line where it had been bent. The token measures 26.8mm in diameter, 3.9mm thick and weighs 9.11grams. Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally; they are therefore hard to date precisely but those with initials are thought to be Post Medieval in date (1500-1850 AD).
