Medieval to Post Medieval cast lead alloy circular unifaced token (1250-1850 AD). The token has a raised design of an eight petalled flower, four large petals alternating with four thin petals around a central pellet, on the obverse and a flat, undecorated reverse. On the decorated side there is a flower with leaves. The token measures 13.1mm in diameter, 1.9mm thick and weighs 1.18grams. Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally; they are therefore hard to date precisely and could be Medieval or Post Medieval in date (1250-1850 AD). This small, well made example, may have been used as a couter for games or reckoning.
