Roman copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative Polden Hill (flat wing ends type, West Midlands), cf. Mackreth 2011, 4.d, pg.73, Plate 47. The object is 32mm long, 19mm wide, 11mm thick and weighs 6.20g.
The spring, catchplate and pin are missing, as is the lower part of the bow. The brooch has semi circular sectioned wings and a sub circular sectioned bow. It is decorated with a rope-like ridge running down the bow.
