One corner is preserved intact, the remainder missing due to old breaks. It has a brick red fabric with a slightly grey core and white gritty inclusions. The front face has stamped and inlaid decoration comprising a double-grooved border with the remains of probable foliate decoration towards the centre of the tile. The recessed areas of the border and field are inlaid with a lustrous brown glaze, which is also visible trickling down the sides of the tile. The back face is flat but unevenly finished. It measures 48.31mm in length, 43.24mm in width, 16.52mm in thickness, and weighs 44.44g. This tile fragment is of later Medieval date, probably belonging in the 14th-15th centuries AD.
