A complete flint arrowhead of probable Neolithic date (3500 BC-2100 BC).
The arrowhead is made on a tertiary waste flake. The ventral surface has a bulb of percussion, a percussion scar and associated ripples. Both edges of the ventral surface have been finely retouched. The dorsal surface has three major negative flaking removals. The left hand side (as viewed) has fine retouch. At the distal end, material has been removed at either side of the small striking platform in order to create a crude tang.
This arrowhead has a grey patina with a reddish hue.
45.6 x 26.2 x 6.1mm. Weight: 5.98g.
