Hand-made, sanded on underside; slight curvature suggesting the piece derives from a ridge or hip tile.\r\nLength: 67mm, Width: 47mm, Thickness17mm.\r\nc) Hard dull red fabric, reduced to grey on underside and through most of its thickness, with rare inclusions of flint (up to 5mm in length) and grog. Hand-made, sanded on underside. \r\nLength: 48mm, Width: 44mm, Thickness: 17-19mm.\r\n\r\nFragments (a) and (b) appear likely to be Roman fabrics. Fragment (c), which shares various characteristics with them may be a more intensely fired fragment of the same material, or may alternatively be from a later tile of Medieval or Post-Medieval date.\r\nThe finder\u2019s grid reference is given as SE 914 911, but the find-spot is described as 1 mile west of Ings Farm, Kirton in Lindsey. This would suggest the intended NGR to be SE 914 991.\r\n","notes":null,"old_findID":"NLM-0085A0","id":"274891","objecttype":"Tile","classification":"Ridge","subclass":null,"reuse":null,"created":"2009-11-03 10:45:36","broadperiod":"ROMAN","updated":"2011-02-24 13:15:37","treasureID":null,"secwfstage":"4","secuid":"0014AF009D001D04","findofnote":"0","objecttypecert":"1","datefound1":"2009-03-24","datefound2":null,"createdBy":"1055","curr_loc":null,"inscription":null,"reason":null,"subsequentAction":"Returned to finder"}],"record":[{"id":"274891","old_findID":"NLM-0085A0","uniqueID":"0014AF009D001D04","objecttype":"Tile","classification":"Ridge","subclass":null,"length":"80","height":null,"width":"47","thickness":"20","diameter":null,"quantity":"3","other_ref":"NLM13424","treasureID":null,"broadperiod":"ROMAN","numdate1":"40","numdate2":"1700","description":"Fired clay roof-tile.
