Coin
Unique ID: LIN-EDD313
Object type certainty: Certain
A Greek silver coin (coin was recorded via email - cannot determine denomination without weight) of Cranium on the Greek island of Cephallenia. c. 500-250 BC.
Notes:
Notebox: This coin is peculiar. The silver issues (500-480 BC) have the ram standing left (BMC 2ff). The ram is standing right on copper issues (4th-3rd century) (BMC 19ff). It does appear to be silver. One possibility is that the coin is modern copy of a copper coin made in a silver-like metal. Such pieces do exist as tourist pieces.
