In plan the terminal is sub-oval and has a slightly concave opening at the top. A short side-arm or bracket extends from either side of the opening. Both side-arms are D-shaped in cross-section and sub-triangular in plan. Both have a circular hole placed horizontally through the side, presumably to allow the terminal to be rivited onto something else. The main body of the terminal is formed by a wide oval band that encloses a kidney-shaped central moulding. This moulding has a hole through the centre. The body appears to be solid however there is a small empty chamber extending into the body at the top of the opening.

The terminal has a glossy red-brown patina with some encrustation on the base. The object probably dates to the late Bronze Age or Iron Age.

This terminal was found in association with Bronze Age, Iron Age and early Roman material, including four other terret rings, as listed below. The terret rings were recorded under the Treasure Act (2006 T187) but were declared 'not treasure' due to a lack of evidence to relate them together. The assemblage as a whole however indicates that the site is significant, perhaps as a religious or cult centre.

Plain/simple terret: LIN-676E77

Mini terret: LIN-6799A3

Flat-Ringed terret: LIN-670AF0

Copper alloy bar: LIN-DDA7C2

Skirted terret: LIN-F0BD14

Knobbed terret: LIN-F0FAB4

Horse harness fitting or belt loop:

Langton Down brooch: LIN-03A0A3

Late Bronze Age dagger: LIN-01C457

Bronze Age axe: LIN-14A4E7

"datefound1":"2009-09-01","datefound2":null
"numdate1":"-1600","numdate2":"-100

A large and heavy cast copper-alloy terminal, possibly a pommel.
