A rim sherd and a wall sherd of a ceramic vessel, not necessarily from the same vessel. The fabric is hard and the texture is laminated. The outer surface is smooth and black (burnished?) and the inner surface is rougher and has a pink tinge. The inclusions are mainly poorly sorted quartz with some black particles. It has been suggested that this is Rossington Bridge Black Burnished ware. The vessel has a narrow collar and a flared rim. The body sherd is 29.2mm long, 26.3mm wide and 6.1mm thick. It weighs 4.57gm. The rim sherd is 41.1mm long, 34mm wide and 16.6mm thick. It weighs 12.27gm.
