The mount is rectangular shape in plan with the corners angled obliquely. The mount is incomplete, and the edge is broken across the width of the mount. In the remaining corners there is single sub-circular mounting hole, each with a counter-sunk surface. The upper surface of the mount has lettering engraved. The surface of the mount on the reverse and obverse is slightly blackened, perhaps by fire, but is also slightly corroded.
