The spring, pin and catch-plate are missing. The diminutive wings (9.3mm in width) are flat and have rounded ends which are now worn and abraded. At the centre, above the wings, there are the remains of a flat forward projecting integral hook. The tip of the hook, when complete, would have rested at the top of the bow and held the spring/bar in place. The bow is convex at the front and flat at the rear and is bent in two places due to post-depositional damage. At the head the maximum width of the bow is 4.0mm. It tapers to a sharp pointed foot.
