The diminutive wings (9.3mm in width) are flat and have rounded ends which are now worn and abraded. At the centre, above the wings, there are the remains of a flat forward projecting integral hook. The tip of the hook, when complete, would have rested at the top of the bow and held the spring\/bar in place. The bow is convex at the front and flat at the rear and is bent in two places due to post-depositional damage. At the head the maximum width of the bow is 4.0mm. It tapers to a sharp pointed foot. \r\n\r\nThis brooch is worn and corroded overall and has traces of a light green patina.\r\n\r\n32.3 x 9.3mm.
