There are 9 items of flint, four of which are large flakes of waste, some containing outer cortext, one blade, two scrapers, and two projectile points.

Relatively speaking, all the tools are 'rough' in the sense that they may be examples of practice pieces or someone still refining their knapping skills.

Both scrapers are round scrapers, but are rather thick for compared to other scrapers of the same plan.

Both projectile points have suffered from damage. One, a likely tanged arrowhead has lost its tang. The other has a concave base, but an impurity in the flint meant the tip broke off.

The blade is relatively simple virticle lengthof flint.","","","2009-08-03 15:21:30","2011-02-24 13:47:52","4","0","1","","","","","","","1","","","","","","","","rcollins","Robert Collins","NCL","dpett","Daniel Pett","Flint","","","","Struck or hammered","","Incomplete","","Certain","NEOLITHIC","","","Metal detector","","Dr Robert Collins","","Dr Robert Collins","NORTH YORKSHIRE","GILLING EAST","RYEDALE","","","","SE6177","SE4647","SE67NW","","","","","","","From Map","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","218346","IM_0114.jpg","images/rcollins/",
