A plated forgery (silver on copper core) of a denarius of Augustus (27 BC-14 AD). The reverse legend suggests that this is a copy of a coin of 2BC-c. 4AD (see RIC p. 55). The coin is incomplete, worn and very corroded. It measures 17.4mm in diameter, 1mm thick and weighs 0.96g.
