An Iron Age- Roman copper alloy incomplete Nauheim derivative brooch (50-100AD). This is a one-piece brooch with blilateral spring of four turns and internal chord. The bow is flat with a solid catch-plate. The majority of the spring and pin is missing, only part of the first turn of the spring is remaining. The bow is decorated with a stamped zig zag pattern extending from the top of the bow to the foot. The shape of the brooch is slightly distorted and the copper alloy has a pale green patina. Dimensions: length: 28.78mm; width: 3.43mm; weight: 0.81g.
