A complete gold ring with d-shaped section, inscribed inside 'God above Joynd us in love', with makers mark IB (?) in a rectangle with rounded corners. The mark is not identifiable in any standard sources and so it is not possible to confirm that this ring is more than 300 years old.
Notes:
The ring cannot be securely dated to pre-1709, it therefore falls outside the provisions of the Treasure Act 1996.
This has been noted as an interesting find by the recorder.
