<description>
<full>A small Neolithic thumb scraper, designed to be held between your thumb and forefinger. The scraper has a shallow plano&#45;convex section, with one rounded side and one convex. It has an overall lozenge shape. It has been formed from a dark reddish&#45;bron flint. The bulb of percussion and striking platform are both present, but badly damaged. THe retouch is steep. Scrapers like this would have had many different functions in the Neolithic, as they were very useful tools, used for example for skinning animals, removing the fatty deposited from hinds and much more.</full>
