Medieval cast copper alloy mount in the form of an animal head (zoomorphic) with a round head and projecting squared snout - bear or wolf?. The head is decorated with cross-hatched incised lines, the each eye is denoted by two oblique lines converging at the top of the snout which is slightly bulbous. On the hollowed reverse is the remains of a centrally placed projecting integral spike/rivet. Length 13.36mm, width 10.0mm, thickness including remains of spike/rivet 3.6mm, thickness across head not including spike 2.6mm, thickenss across snout 2.8mm, weight 0.80g.
