The cast copper-alloy pommel of a sword of Medieval or post-Medieval date. The pommel is sub-spherical with a cast perforation that penetrates most of the pommel for attachment to the tang of a sword. Given the size and weight of the pommel, it was probably from a smaller sword, either in terms of blade length (short) or blade width.
