A cast copper alloy strap fitting, mount or stud, probably Late Iron Age to Roman in date. The object is formed from an oval domed, with a flat reverse. The front surface has a raised ring and dot. The dot stands proud of the enamelled ring, which is a mid brownish-red colour. On the reverse is an open rectangular loop, which is set into the otherwise flat surface. The loop is infilled with corroded iron. The metal is corroded and much of the original surface has been lost.
