Silver finger ring. The ring has two bezels, one formed of two clasped hands and the other a deep oval setting with a circular hole in the centre, probably to take a gem or glass stone. The band is D sectioned and the hands and oval setting are expanded out from it. The front edge of the oval setting has notches cut in for decoration.
Date: Late medieval to early Post-medieval (15th to 16th century)

Consequently, in terms of age and as the object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.
