The finger-ring has a faceted band and integral bezel. The bezel is rectangular with faceted corners. The central motif is a capital S with a crown or coronet above. The finger ring is similar in style and shape to signet rings in the British Museum’s collections and they are dated to the early 16th century (Dalton 1912 pl VI).
