A cast copper-alloy fragment of a purse bar belonging to Ward-Perkins Class A2. They are normally inscribed. The inscription may be worn away in this example although there do appear to be faint traces in the photo. It is rectangular in plan and section. The underside has two semicircular protrusions with circular perforations. The end of the arm has thicker moulding and the base of another loop or suspension fitting.
