An incomplete silver denarius of Tiberius. Reverse type: TR POT XVI/II IMP VII, Tiberius in quadriga with four horses. AD 14-AD 16. Mint of Lyon. BMC I, c.f. no. 8; RIC I, c.f. nos. 2/4. Mass: 3.5g. Diameter: 18.4mm.

Notes:

This is a rare coin, struck in the first two years of Tiberius' reign before most of the massive issue of PONTIF MAXIM coins began to be struck.

This has been noted as an interesting find by the recorder.
