Copper alloy button, 17th or early 18th century in date. The button is disk shaped and flat with a rounded integral shank attached at a right-angle to the reverse. The upper face of the button is decorated with an engraved six-petalled flower with pointed stamens within a curvilinear border. The button is greenish-brown in colour and survives in fairly good condition. It is similar in design to two buttons in Read (2005, p.34), no's: 120 and 121. Diameter: 15.5mm, Thickness: 8.1mm Weight: 2.7g
