An incomplete cast copper alloy strap/harness mount, probably from the post-medieval period (c.1500-c.1800). Length: 18.7mm; width: 11.8mm; measurement from front to reverse (including prongs): 3.8mm; mass: 1.3g. The mount is shaped as an acorn within its cup, with a knop at the top. There are a series of depressions providing detail on the cup. The front of the mount is concave and the reverse is convex, with two incomplete prongs for attachment. The mount has a pitted brown/green surface. Similar mounts have been recorded on the PAS database (e.g. see BH-5626A6, WMID-096071) and this represents one of the smaller examples.
