The upper surface is decorated with zig-zag incisions (or ‘rocker arm’ decoration) and has two central rivet holes, each approximately 1.5mm in diameter. It has an overall length of 16.7mm, width of 18.3mm, thickness of 1.1mm and weighs 1.48g. This heart mount is in good condition with a black hue and creamy patina on the reverse. It bares close similarity to PAS record WILT-566D86, which references mount 133 (Fig. 11) as described by Read 2001, p17 and gives a Late medieval to Early Post Medieval date (c.1450-1550).
