Button
Unique ID: SWYOR-C52325
Object type certainty: Certain
A spherical button and loop fastener. The main sphere is not completely round, with a flattened base where the thick loop attaches. The loop has transverse lines running around its edge. The outer end of the button appears to have a small pellet or knop which has worn down and only just visible. The button is strange with an unusually thick loop with a small sewing hole. The condition of the button and the possible pimpled top suggests a post-Medieval date.
