Unique ID: LIN-89B6A3

Object type certainty: Certain

Silver coin made into a home-made identity tag or token. The details of the coin are completely worn on both sides and are now replaced with punched dots bearing a name.

On one side the coin reads: R PIN. The letter 'N' meets the edge of the coin and presumably this side was abandoned because the text was started in the wrong place.

The other side reads: R PINDER/SALTFLEET.

The identity of R PINDER is uncertain although there is was a B PINDER serving in the Saltfleetby home guard during the second world war. If the first name was Robert, this could account for the use of both 'B' and 'R' as first name initials.
