<full>A clay pipe dating to the post Medieval period. The pipe has good amount of the shaft still attached to the bowl. The bowl has convex and bulbous sides, thinning towards the open end, where there is a rough incision around the opening. Beneath the transition from shaft to bowl, there is a small knop, squared off at the base. The pipe is creamy white in colour and measures 109.3mm x 28.45mm x 10.5mm, weighing 22.03g. This type of clay pipe is dated to the 16th&#45; early 17th century. For a similar example see Bailey’s ‘Detector finds 3’, p.51.</full>
