A cast copper alloy double looped buckle with moulded knops either end of the strap bar and a slightly angled frame. The outside edges of the frame have central grooves from the now missing pin. The buckle also appears to be bent in antiquity. It has a black hue with light brown patina and measures 33.4mm x 27.4mm x 2.4mm, weighing 5.33g. Whitehead (Buckles) suggests this type to be Post medieval (c.1500-1650). For a parallel see Whitehead, 314.
