A Neolithic polished stone axe head (3500-2100BC). The axe head has an irregular cross-section, and tapers from the curved cutting edge to the butt. The butt is missing and there is some damage to the sides and flakes missing from the body. The entire surface has been polished but there is a zone of near the cutting edge that has been polished to a finer finish.
