Flake
Unique ID: NCL-522096
Object type certainty: Certain
A knapped flint flake that may have functioned as a blade or small dart or arrowhead in the Neolithic period.
The flake is subtriangular in plan amd triangular in section. The point has broken off. The underside is smooth from its natural geological structure, while the top surface has a medial ridge with small flakes removed from it by knapping. There is no evidence for pressure flaking despite the small size of the flake.
The flint is a translucent light grey-brown.
