A resized image of Post medieval gold finger ring with panels with hands and feet.

Gold finger-ring. Decorated with five panels depicting hands and possibly a foot and what could be a bird. Cross hatching, background of rows of bosses and dots between panels. Crown of Thorns depicted, with possible drops of blood on hands and feet. Could possibly be early 18^th Century, but the crown of thorns and background decoration suggest a more likely date of 17^th Century. Consequently, in terms of age and as the object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.

This has been noted as an interesting find by the recorder.
