The fragment has the typical H cross-section. On an internal surface the maker’s initials and the dates are moulded in retrograde. It reads “GD 1724”. The letters are the intials of the blacksmith who made the mill that extruded the lead. Dimensions: length: 74.33mm; weight: 5.79g.
