<full>A cast copper&#45;alloy strap junction of the early Roman period.

The object has a body composed of 2 adjoined hemispherical discs, which both have a circular perforation in their base.  These cupped discs originally would have taken bone, coral, or possibly glass or enamel decoration.  The underside of the body remains flat.

One side of the body retains the attachment bracket, which is formed by a disc projecting perpendicularly from the side of each cup of the body, with a thick tube running between them.

There is evidence for a similar bracket on the other side of the body, but it has broken off, leaving abraded projections from the body only.</full>
