Roman contemporary plated copy of a silver denarius of Tiberius (14-37 AD); PONTIF MAXIM reverse (Female seated right holding sceptre and branch, single exergual line, original type minted in Lyon 14-37 AD, RIC page 95, cf. no.30. The copper alloy can be seen in areas where the silver has flaked off and in a nick on the side, possibly made to show it is fake.
