One part of hinged rectangular medieval strap-plate of folded sheet secured by two rivets near straight attachment edge. Single hinge pivot. Central round perforation through both parts. Decoration consists of three rounded lobes separated by two V-sectioned notches at both ends of both sides of the front part. The central perforation is shared by several examples from London (Dress Accessories fig. 141), but is not very similar to the sole hinged example (no. 1217). 45 (39 without hinge pivot) x 22mm. Gap for strap 3mm. Second half 14th century.
