A lead alloy musket ball. The shot is sub spherical. It has a diameter of 18.6mm. The ball has an uneven surface. It has lots of flat areas and possible file marks. It has a small area where the casting spur is visible. The surface is rough. The colour is light creamy yellow. It is post medieval and probably dates from 1644. Musket balls are discussed in Courtney's "Small Arms Accessories of the Mid-Seventeenth Century" (1988) and on page 202 of "Material Culture in London in an Age of Transition" by Geoff Egan (2005).
