A plain gold band of uncertain date and function.
The object consists of a gold strip of flat section and parallel sides which has been distorted into an irregular semi-circle. One end appears to have been broken to form a square section whilst the other tapers towards what may have been a terminal which is also broken.
In its current bent state, the object measures 33mm long, 18.6mm wide and 2mm thick. The weight is 6.14g.
Notes:
The object may fulfil the Treasure Act (1996) in that it may be more than 300 years old but it is not diagnostic to a particular period so this cannot be assessed with any confidence.
