Late Early Medieval stirrup strap mount of Williams class A type 12 (Closed version). Cast in copper alloy the mount is lozenge shaped in plan with a circular loop at its apex. There are two rivet holes at the base of the mount, one containing the corroded remains of an iron rivet. The flange is at 90 degrees to the main body of the mount. The upper surface is decorated with a raised saltire cross design and a small central boss. The surface is corroded and slightly pitted. It is 41.52mm long, 24.92mm wide. The foot is 15.05mm wide and the flange 6.56mm deep.
