Trade token farthing produced by John Feisher of Evershot, Dorset, in 1651. Boyne and Williamson's no. 86 (p. 181).
Notes:
Trade tokens of this type were produced by local authorities and private traders between 1648-72 to make up for the lack of small change in circulation which had been caused by the cessation of the minting of farthings during the English Civil War. Most were intended to pass for farthings.
