A copper-alloy strap-slide of probable late 13th to late 14th century AD date. Several examples of this artefact type have been found during excavations in London and it is thought that their function was to secure the free end of the strap (Egan and Pritchard 1991; 233-235). The frame is roughly D-shaped in plan and has slightly convex outer surfaces and flat inner surfaces. A small circular rivet hole is located at the centre of the vertical side. The piece measures 13.75mm long, 10.1mm wide and 3.75mm high. The weight is 0.93g.
