Elaborate copper alloy buckle; Cast D-shaped loop and tapering sheet metal pin; sub-rectangular folded-sheet buckle plate secured by two pairs of copper alloy rivets (fragments of the original leather strap survive sandwiched between the plates), the longer sides of the front plate are slightly concave while its front surface is decorated with an engraved design consisting of two heart-shaped motifs placed one above the other; each heart has pairs of internal triangles and upper scrolled terminals; the surface of the metal is heavily corroded and a section of the back-plate is missing.
