Fragmentary copper alloy tumbrel or coin balance; consists of a vertical element with an upper moulded and knopped terminal, central slot for balance arm and lower curving section which develops into a cylindrical housing; the sides of the central element are decorated with pairs of transverse grooving; only a small portion of the balance arm survives, it is a flat plate of metal mounted side-on through the slot of the central vertical section with a copper alloy pin.
