Copper alloy pyramidal mount from a sword or other belt; hollow with flat integrally cast median cross-bar on the base (through which the belt or strap would have passed), each face of the mount retains the remains of cloisonné cellwork which would have originally held cut garnets (now missing); the upper face is square while each of the four side faces has sub-triangular cells with slight insteps forming small rectangular cells on each of the four corners; the cellwork is bent and damaged in places and the surface of the metal corroded; as BRH 016-018, CDD 022
